Test Matches

Cardiff’s SWALEC Stadium will host the opening Investec Ashes Test Match of the five-match series as it did in 2009 when England’s last pair James Anderson and Monty Panesar clung on for a famous draw on the final day of a gripping Ashes encounter.

Lord’s, Edgbaston, Trent Bridge and The Kia Oval will also stage Investec Test Matches as England bid to regain the famous Ashes urn and win a fourth successive home Ashes series following their previous triumphs in 2005, 2009 and 2013.

After the Ashes, England and Australia will do battle again in a NatWest T20I at Cardiff’s SWALEC Stadium before the international season reaches its climax in September with The Ageas Bowl, Lord’s, Emirates Old Trafford and Headingley hosting matches in the Royal London One-Day International series.
New Zealand’s tour of England will begin in May with tour matches against Somerset and Worcestershire before the two countries meet in the opening international action of the summer – the first Investec Test Match at Lord’s.

Headingley will stage the second Investec Test Match of the two-match series against the Black Caps before the focus shifts to the Royal London One-Day International series with Edgbaston, The Kia Oval, The Ageas Bowl, Trent Bridge and Emirates Durham ICG all staging ODIs and Emirates Old Trafford hosting a NatWest T20I.

ECB Chief Executive David Collier said: “Next summer promises to be a hugely exciting international season with England’s bid to regain the Ashes set to be one of the major highlights of the sporting year. We’re also delighted to be hosting New Zealand again across all three formats of the international game and would like to thank all those county and international venues who will be hosting our touring teams next year.”

London Marathon - 26 Apr 2015

Small charities like NACC are unable to obtain places for the London Marathon (we are 376th on their list of new charities application and have been since 2003 so we are unlikely to get places for the foreseeable future!) However, and to our great delight, during the past 5 years over 200 people have pledged to run in the London Marathon in support of NACC and well over 60% were successful in their application, raising a fantastic Ł150,341.98! The ballot for 2010 will first open on 27th April – the day after the 2009 race. Click here to applyDon’t miss your opportunity to apply and run for NACC during our 30th Anniversary! We would love to have your support during our 30th Anniversary Year.  Why not apply with friends, colleagues and family members to make it a memorable event? We can offer you a sponsor form, running vest, your very own webpage on JustGiving and literature to present to your sponsors.

GREAT NORTH RUN (13 miles) 19th September 2010

Donation Ł40 (made payable to NACC)
Recommended fundraising target: Ł350

2009 was a fabulous event thanks to our runners, volunteers and to Abbott UK for their generous donation to cover some of our costs.
GNR TEAM NACC was 125 strong, most of whom visited our marquee with family and friends to lap up the fantastic atmosphere and have a leg massage, courtesy of
Lauren Humprey and Chris Roberts, students at the Sports Therapy faculty of University College Birmingham.NACC’s GNR Staff and Volunteer Working Team were delighted to meet you, know that many of you want to continue your support by taking part in the GNR again. It was a truly humbling experience to hear your stories, meet your families and friends and know that you share our aims to help everyone who is affect by Colitis & Crohn’s.
